When you walk into Honoured Social Enterprise Gym, recognized as Redlands' best community gym and a boutique fitness hub for everyone, you can feel this isn’t just a gym. It’s a place where every individual is seen, valued, and included. It’s a space where barriers fall away and potential rises. From teen sports and agility sessions to mum and dad workouts, we embrace NDIS active PT and community sessions, along with Private Health Rebates. At the heart of this community gym and fitness center is Natalie, a mother of seven, a long-term foster carer, a woman with Autism and ADHD, and a relentless believer in the worth of every individual.
We are a certified Social Enterprise with Social Traders.
Natalie’s life has been shaped by love and grit. For years, she served as a voice on the other end of the line at Kids Helpline, guiding young people through their darkest moments. Along with her husband, she opened her home and heart to children in need of safety, stability, and someone to believe in them. She understands the challenges of facing systems that often overlook your value, and she’s driven to change that for others.
‘Young people need strong and authentic role models in their lives, individuals they can connect with and feel safe to be themselves around. While social media has its place, it cannot replace genuine human connections and interactions.’
Her vision for Honoured was never solely about treadmills and dumbbells; it was about creating a safe haven where fitness becomes a means to ease anxiety, build confidence, and unlock opportunities. It’s about showing a teenager struggling to fit into the conventional schooling system that they are capable, worthy, and full of potential. It’s about providing someone who’s been told they “can’t” a place where they absolutely can.
Natalie’s own story began in England, where her parents couldn’t afford gym memberships or equipment. She still remembers lifting cans of food as makeshift weights, not realizing those moments would one day shape her mission to make fitness accessible to everyone, regardless of background or income.
Through programs like Concrete for boys and HonourHER for girls, Natalie blends strength training with life lessons, values, and mentorship. She’s aiding young people in obtaining qualifications such as Certificate III and IV in Fitness, opening pathways to further education and employment. Every milestone—whether it’s a personal best in the gym, a certificate earned, the spark of self-belief, or friendships formed—is celebrated here.
Honoured’s sister charity, Infinitely Valued, extends that vision, championing the worth of every person and empowering people with disabilities through employment, leadership, and community connection. Natalie’s connections to the Down Syndrome and Autism communities are profound, not as an outsider, but as someone who understands from lived experience.
What sets Honoured apart is that it’s built on more than just business plans and fitness programs. It’s founded on love, hope, and an unshakable belief that change is possible. Natalie and her team are not just creating stronger bodies; they are nurturing stronger hearts, minds, and futures.
“Honoured was born from my own journey as a mum, a Kids Helpline counsellor, a carer, and a woman with Autism and ADHD. It’s more than a gym; it’s a community where everyone, regardless of their background or ability, belongs. We exist to break down barriers to health, strength, and opportunity so that young people, carers, and families can discover just how powerful they truly are.”
